The Rec Room at WEM nails the trifecta: exciting games, great food & drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s Edmonton’s top spot for social entertainment and memorable evenings. Yes, it can get busy, but weekday deals (like half-price games Sun–Wed) mean there’s always a smart way to enjoy it . If you’re after fun, food, and flair—all under one roof—this is the hangout you’ve been waiting for.
Good food (although a bit pricey). Had vegan impossible burger. Cool cocktail tower which we shared among 8 of us. Live music! (Some good 90’s and early 2000’s bangers). Tons of arcade games. They should add more air hockey and pool tables though. The arcade credit cost $30 and 4 of us shared it for an hour, so pretty cheap. Fun place to hang out with a group or friends!
Had an awesome time at The Rec Room! Between the games, great food, and energetic atmosphere, it was the perfect spot to unwind and have fun. The arcade had something for everyone, and the staff kept things running smoothly. Great place to hang out with friends, grab a drink, and let loose. We “won” 2 jumbo cute adore plushy’s as you can see in the photo. Definitely coming back!
The Rec Room in WEM is a fun place that can take up a lot of your time. There are a good selection of games from classics to new modern games. However, there could be a greater number of certain games that get busy as the place can get crowded. Additionally all of the staff were very friendly from the people at the front to the people who helped us on a broken game. I would recommend the Rec Room for a fun time in WEM especially after mall hours when the Rec Room is still open.

While the staff was not overly friendly, they were not rude either. I experienced some delays in ordering and receiving my food, but the staff seemed to be trying their best. Hosts: 1.5/5 The hosts were a major letdown. Not only were they inattentive, but they also made me feel uncomfortable. As a first-timer, I expected a warm welcome and some guidance on navigating the arcade and reservation table. Ambiance: 4/5 Despite the service issues, the arcade's ambiance was generally pleasant. The colorful decor and lively atmosphere created a fun environment. Food and Beverages: 3/5 I ordered the poutine and tacos, which were decent but not impressive. The poutine lacked a rich, flavorful gravy, and the tacos were somewhat bland. However, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. While this arcade offered an exceptional gaming experience, the subpar service, uncomfortable hosts, and average food options left a sour taste in my mouth.
